Balboa Park Surprise Proposal, San Diego, California

M + S flew in from Texas for a short vacay to San Diego. Little did S know that she would be returning home ENGAGED to M!

Since they were from out of town, I helped M nail down an exact location for the proposal. After looking at some images I sent him of Balboa Park, he loved the idea of proposing at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion. It may feel a bit overwhelming trying to remotely plan and coordinate a surprise proposal, but that’s where I come in. I’ll help you plan ahead so that when it comes to the big moment, you can be completely present.

I dropped M a pin so that he wouldn’t run into any trouble finding the location and I sat there and waited in my incognito uniform. As I sat there with my book pretending to read, I watched them walk up and immediately knew it was them. It was her gorgeous dress that gave it away, seriously, let’s take a moment to admire her dress.

They roamed around for a bit, but when they stopped at the top of the stairs, I knew it was go time. The proposal went off without a hitch, and the framing of these photos are a DREAM.
