Kitsap Memorial State Park Engagement Session
Taking a ferry was such a foreign thing to me as a Mid-Westerner. But now, I can’t get enough of it.
I took an early ferry to meet Melissa and Evan, and we had some time to grab drinks beforehand at the Bainbridge Brewing Alehouse. Then we headed north 30 minutes to Kitsap Memorial State Park to start their engagement session.
When we got down to the shore, we realized it was high tide so I ran back up the hill to see if there was anyway we could find another beach area to access. There was no other access point. Their response was the best, Evan kicked off his shoes and rolled up his pants and Melissa didn’t even hesitate to get her dress wet. They walked into the frigid waters and we continued on with our shoot.
Looking at these images, I can’t help but laugh because they spent about 10 minutes telling me about how they were going to be so awkward in front of the camera, and it’s SO NOT TRUE. They did absolutely wonderful and their images turned out B E A U T I F U L, because they were completely themselves.
I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding in 2020!
